Growing up in Crossett, Arkansas, Carmen came to North Louisiana in 1986 to attend ULM (then NLU). She met her husband, an attorney, while finishing up her pre-law degree in college. They soon married and settled in Monroe. After 12 years in Monroe, Carmen and her family moved to Choudrant to live in Squire Creek while her daughter, Hannah, attended school at Cedar Creek School in Ruston and Scooter worked in Monroe. After Hannah’s graduation, the family moved to back to the Monroe area where they currently reside. Carmen loves the friendly, kind, and talented people in the region – from Monroe to Choudrant to Ruston to West Monroe. Through her strong connections to several different communities, she is uniquely qualified to help families looking for homes in a wide range of locations along the I-20 corridor.
Carmen is an advocate for the performing arts (theatre, dance, and music) and has a good working knowledge of how to connect artistic children to the right resources within the region. In Northeast Louisiana, sports are strong and families relocating to the area can easily join them in almost any school district. The arts are not as well connected to the school systems but are incredibly vibrant in our region. Carmen can help you find both the perfect home and the right extracurricular fit for your children.
Carmen developed a new interest in urban revitalization when she and her husband lived on Trenton Street near boutiques, art galleries, restaurants, and salons in downtown West Monroe, and she can advise young adults, empty nesters, and even “hip” families with children on the exciting opportunities in downtown Monroe, West Monroe, and Ruston.
In her free time, Carmen enjoys sewing, crafting, graphic design, writing, and decorating, and she incorporates all of these skills into her real estate work to make your buying or selling experience the best yet!
